  1. The Dragon Boat Festival was added to the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity on 30 October 2009.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    1. The Festival\u00a0became an international event in 1976, after the Hong Kong Tourism Bureau organised the first international races.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      1. It is estimated that one hour of dragon boating can burn between 500 and 800 calories. The sport offers a great upper-body workout, and the paddling motion also engages leg and core muscles.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
